I come from El Salvador, from artisanal traditions and communities that design largely forgot. I refused to take that reality for granted. Every unsolved problem is a conversation design hasn't had yet. Let's have one, or four.

The field never determines the method. The conversation does
I build every research framework from zero, calibrated to what each problem actually requires, guided by three things that never change: science, purpose and ethics.

These four projects are four different conversations design forgot to finish. I found them, traced them to their root, and built from there.

How can we empower traditional artisans to innovate autonomously at the intersection of biotechnology and smart materials without industrial infrastructure?
This project establishes an open-access, bio-synthetic design framework that bridges ancestral artisanal knowledge with advanced material science. By decoding the molecular mechanics of plant pigments and integrating them with liquid crystal systems, this methodology transforms an inherently unstable natural extract into a high-performance, temperature-responsive smart textile, all executable under kitchen-scale conditions.

Anthocyanin auxochromes shift HOMO-LUMO gap across pH. Absorption wavelength maps directly to perceived color. Forecastable before extraction.
